The Journey So Far
The Grandmother's Recipe
It all started when our founder moved to the city for college and deeply missed his grandmother's authentic Dal Makhani. A simple thought was born: What if students could eat real home food every day?
The First Home Cook
We onboarded Mom Sunita, our first home chef in Mumbai. She cooked 15 meals a day out of her own kitchen for a small group of students.
10,000 Meals Delivered
Word of mouth spread rapidly. We expanded to 50 local mothers, empowering them to earn an independent income while serving healthy, hygienic food to 500+ daily customers.
National Expansion
Maa Ka Khana is now scaling across major metro cities, with a mission to organize the unorganized home-cooking sector and bring the taste of home to everyone.
100%
Women Operated
Empowering Mothers, Nourishing Souls.
The food industry is highly commercialized, leading to a compromise on health and hygiene. We are building a decentralized network of verified home kitchens to bring authentic, preservative-free food to the masses.
Financial Independence
We provide local mothers with the infrastructure and marketing they need to run a profitable micro-business from their own kitchens.
Direct Farmer Sourcing
Our ingredients are sourced directly from local farmers, ensuring the highest quality while supporting the agricultural community.
